Ravenclaw
Spoken Interfaces and Dialogue Processing

Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw is an advanced architecture for dialogue management based on a dynamic representation that captures knowledge about the task that humans perform in given domains. It is the base for a number of dialogue system projects in LTI and elsewhere at Carnegie Mellon. Current dialogue management research centers on two topics: 1) developing techniques for self-awareness that allow systems to adaptively detect and recover from misunderstandings; and 2) automating the configuration of dialogue systems by inferring task and dialogue structure from human-human interactions in limited domains.
